Scott Schaeffer and David Frame of Fronheiser Pools, an APSP member company in Bally, PA, have successfully completed a comprehensive national training and certification program for pool and spa service technicians.  The APSP Service Technician Certification Program is sponsored by the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP), the leading trade association in the pool and spa industry.  The program is designed to further the knowledge and skills of pool and spa service technicians.  Pool and spa service technicians who complete each of the three levels of the program are nationally registered with APSP, the headquarters of which is based in Alexandra, Virginia.

Scott Schaeffer and David Frame were awarded official certificates on January 27, 2009 for successfully completing the highest level of the program and achieving the CSP Certified Service Professional
® designation.

An increasing number of the 6.6 million pool owners and 3.3 million spa owners in the U.S. are finding that having the benefit of an APSP-registered pool/spa service technician can save them time and money.  Services provided include: advice and guidance on the selection of heaters, filters and electrical equipment; inspection, serving and repair of all equipment and accessories; and water treatment to maintain proper chemical balance.  When consumers work with APSP-registered pool/spa service technicians, they can be assured of getting the industry’s most highly skilled professionals.

The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals has more than 5,000 members including manufacturers, distributors, builders, retailers, and service companies who share a commitment to fair business practices and a standard of excellence in health and safety in the installation, maintenance and servicing of spas and pools.
